The 30-second summary

Zakat International is a free, private, scholar-verified web app. Nothing you enter leaves your browser. Everything works without a login. Seven core tools: Zakat calculator, Faraid inheritance engine, Wasiyyah writer, Sadaqah tracker, Estate planner, Country-legal guides, and AI scholar. Available in 15 UI languages and articles in 21 languages.

Tool 1: Zakat calculator (homepage)

Pick your country → the calculator loads your local currency, your country's legal framework, and live gold/silver nisab. Pick your person-type (salaried, business owner, farmer, freelancer, retiree) → only relevant asset fields appear. Enter your wealth → the 2.5% liability appears instantly with a downloadable PDF breakdown. No email required, no data sent to a server.

Tool 2: Faraid inheritance engine (/inheritance)

A multi-step wizard: Estate → Wasiyyah → Heirs → Result. Enter the deceased's net estate, add optional wasiyyah bequests up to 1/3, indicate surviving heirs (spouse, children, parents, siblings, grandchildren), pick a madhhab (Hanafi / Shafi'i / Maliki / Hanbali / Jaʿfari). The engine computes the exact shares — awl, radd, Wajib Wasiyyah all handled — and emits a scholar-style share tree diagram plus a plain-language explanation from our AI scholar.

Tool 3: Wasiyyah writer (/will)

A multi-step form that generates a complete Islamic will: personal details, executor appointment, guardianship, Wasiyyah bequests, Faraid invocation, funeral wishes, sadaqah jariyah plan, and a sealed digital-asset annex. Output: a print-ready PDF you can sign and witness anywhere in the world. We also generate a personal letter to each family member.

Tool 4: Sadaqah tracker (/sadaqah, Life Suite)

Log recurring monthly giving, one-off donations, and food/kindness sadaqah. Compare your annual giving against your annual Zakat. Build habits — the Prophet ﷺ said the most beloved deeds are those done consistently, even if small.

Tool 5: Estate planner (/estate-plan)

A full 12-document estate-planning checklist (see our dedicated article). Track completion of your Wasiyyah, guardianship letter, digital-asset annex, funeral wishes, ongoing sadaqah jariyah, and asset register. Print a family briefing pack for your executor.

Tool 6: Country legal guides (/legal)

Statute-cited inheritance and will guidance for 95 countries. Each country page shows: applicable inheritance law with statute citation, will formality rules, notarial registration path, witness requirements, forced-heirship overrides, probate process, key government + scholar authorities, and country-specific red flags. Informational only — always confirm with a local lawyer for individual cases.

Tool 7: AI scholar

A Claude-powered chat trained on classical fiqh literature to answer plain-language questions: "What is my Zakat if I have gold + crypto + a mortgage?" or "Explain awl in my case with wife + mother + two daughters." Answers include Quranic verse references and hadith citations where relevant. Educational, not a substitute for a qualified local scholar.

The whole toolkit fits on one page

The homepage triple-card layout puts Zakat, Inheritance, and Wasiyyah at the same visual level — because they are the three financial worships of Islam. Start with whichever is most relevant to your situation today; over a lifetime you will use all three.
